The idea was to set up an awesome website to support private sellers, and give them the chance to save thousands in agent's commission. We also wanted to give private sellers as much support as we could, to "demystify" the process of the DIY option.
Today, we're South Africa's busiest property website and winner of the award for SA's best property website for 2 years running. We have 6 branches covering the whole of South Africa, and a franchise in Namibia. With over 200 000 registered buyers on our system, we boast more than 5 million page impressions a month.
Although we deal mostly with residential sales, we also do residential rentals (although rentals are listed by the property owner, with a choice of free or paid service options).
Recently, we have added further options to clients through partner companies. The first of these is iLoan, the property finance people - they're here to help you get home loan finance. Then there's SmartSell, the big service, small price estate agent. Say what? Why would we do that? We wanted to offer more choice to buyers and more options to sellers. We see it as improving our service.
